DEG: The Digital Entertainment Group (DEG) has announced its new board of directors, reelecting Ron Sanders, president of Warner Bros. Worldwide Home Entertainment Distribution, as its chair.
New to DEG’s board are Man Jit Singh, president of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment; Dan Cohen, EVP of pay-TV and digital sales for Walt Disney Studios; Bill Clark, president of Anchor Bay Entertainment; Martin Sacchi, GM of Microsoft’s media and entertainment group; Ron Schwartz, president and GM of home entertainment sales and distribution for Lionsgate; Mike Fasulo, president and COO of Sony Electronics; and Eddie Cunningham, president of Universal Studios Home Entertainment.
Mike Dunn, president of 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, will continue serving as vice chair of the board, while Sofia Chang, EVP and GM of HBO Home Entertainment, will serve as DEG’s chief financial officer.
“We welcome our recently elected DEG Board of Directors to serve a new term,” said DEG president Amy Jo Smith. “We are delighted that both Ron Sanders and Mike Dunn have been re-elected to serve as chair and vice chair, respectively. This underscores the membership’s confidence in their leadership of the DEG.”
Officers of the board serve a two-year term, while board members will serve for the 2014-15 fiscal year (Aug. 1–July 31).
Other board members include: Tom McDonough, GM of Intel Media Services; Tim Alessi, director of new product development for LG Electronics; Gene Kelsey, VP of adventure, entertainment and imaging for Panasonic; Dennis Maguire, president of Paramount Home Media Distribution; Marty Gordon, VP of Phillips Electronics; Eric Anderson, VP of content strategies for Samsung Electronics; Darren Stupak, EVP of U.S. sales and distribution for Sony Music Entertainment; Ron Smith, VP of marketing for Toshiba’s digital products division; and Jim Belcher, VP of technology and production for Universal Music Group.
