The Entertainment Merchants Association said Jonathan Zepp, director of entertainment content partnerships for Google-owned YouTube, has joined its board of directors.
Since 2011, 37-year-old Zepp has helped grow Google's transactional EST/VOD business on Google Play and YouTube. This includes securing transactional partnerships with Disney, Fox, HBO, and Paramount, among others, as well as launching an electronic sellthrough in all markets. Zepp and his team oversee management of transactional partnerships with more than 150 film and TV distributors around the world, including all major studios.
Prior to joining Google, Zepp led worldwide content acquisitions and programming at Sony Network Entertainment, and previously held key digital entertainment roles at Paramount and Napster.
