CDSA Names Dyson Head of Antipiracy and Compliance11 May, 2009 By: Chris Tribbey
The Content Delivery and Storage Association (CDSA) has appointed veteran Linda Dyson as worldwide director of its antipiracy and compliance programs, taking over for Timothy Gorman, who’s leaving the post due to a medical issue.
Dyson will oversee CDSA’s administering of global standards and certification for content protection, security and digital download security standards, as well as copyright and licensing verification standards and procedures. She will work directly with CDSA president Charles Van Horn.
“Under Tim Gorman’s leadership, CDSA became a trailblazer in the field of global intellectual property and asset security and protection,” Van Horn said. “[Dyson] is a passionate and strategic leader who brings extensive industry experience to this position. Undoubtedly, she will build on the 10 year legacy of CDSA’s certification audit programs, and reinvent it to deliver even more value.”
Based in Atlanta, Dyson has been with CDSA since 1998, and since 1989 she has held executive, engineering and quality assurance management posts with Sony Music Entertainment International, Institute of Paper Science and Technology at Georgia Tech, ESA, Inc., and R. R. Donnelley Financial.
