Baker & Taylor Gives Cully, Nelson New Duties

Publishers Weekly reports Baker & Taylor’s Bob Nelson will head all retail sales activities for U.S. and overseas customers. He will report to David Cully, president of retail markets and EVP of merchandising, who will now oversee the digital media services group, PW reports.

B&T CEO Tom Morgan said Nelson’s history as VP of global business development “makes him the perfect fit to focus on several important new customer segments, especially in the non-traditional, corporate and government market segments,” according to PW. Nelson also will focus on making physical and digital deals with customers, PW reports.

Nelson will continue to report to Morgan on strategic issues and supply chain partnerships. Cully, meanwhile, will head activities focused on suppliers, such as merchandising, content acquisition and publisher services, PW reports.
