Antonellis Joins Kidsave Board22 Aug, 2011 By: Chris Tribbey
Darcy Antonellis, president of Warner Bros. Technical Operations, has been elected to the board of Los Angeles-based nonprofit Kidsave.
The group focuses on finding families for youth ages 6 to 21 nationally and internationally. Kidsave has been finding families for orphanage kids and foster children in the United States, Russia, South America and Africa since 1997.
“Kidsave is honored to have Darcy join our board,” co-chair Tom Donohue said. “As an adoptive mom of two older kids herself, both of whom she met through Kidsave’s Summer Miracles program, and an accomplished professional, she brings the heart, expertise and ability to Kidsave that we need to build a viable, effective global organization.
“We are eager for Darcy’s engagement as we work toward our goal of giving 1 million older orphans, abandoned children and foster youth adoptive families and lasting connections with adults by 2020,” he said.
Along with Dean Marks, SVP of intellectual property for Warner Bros. Entertainment, Antonellis will co-chair an entertainment industry task force that will help support Kidsave’s Los Angeles Weekend Miracles Program.
