Anchor Bay Promotes Three

Anchor Bay Entertainment (ABE) has promoted three to VP positions.

Erin Carter, who joined ABE in 2007, has been promoted to VP of brand marketing, Jane McCowan, who joined ABE as a brand manager in 2000, has been upped to VP of retail marketing, and Glenn Wahlgren, who started with the company in 2006, is ABE’s new VP of sales.

“Anchor Bay Entertainment continues to excel in the marketplace because of its strong team,” said ABE president Bill Clark. “These promotions are representative of the creative and successful work that Erin, Jane and Glenn have done while at Anchor Bay Entertainment.”

During her time with ABE, Carter has worked on a variety of titles for the company, including I Spit on Your Grave, Rob Zombie’s The Lords of Salem and the recently released At Middleton with Andy Garcia. Under her direction, ABE launched both the Chuggington and Tickety Toc preschool properties. She oversees the Anchor Bay Films theatrical and home entertainment releases along with all the titles in the children’s and family business.

In 2008 ABE promoted McCowan to executive director of retail marketing overseeing placement and promotional opportunities with key national accounts.  Her retail campaigns have included Django Unchained, Silver Linings Playbook and “The Walking Dead” franchise.

Wahlgren most recently served as executive director of sales, where he managed the Target account while also overseeing the expansion of the brand into Canada, the launch of Target.com and Target Ticket.
