Anchor Bay Promotes Three

Anchor Bay Entertainment has promoted three of its executives. Julie Cartwright has moved up to SVP of marketing, while Sally Seraphim and Raymond Zinar are now both SVP of sales.

Cartwright began her career at Anchor Bay Entertainment in 1998, working on the “Thomas & Friends” brand. She then left in 2003 to become brand manager for HIT Entertainment’s licensing department. In 2005, she returned to Anchor Bay as director of marketing with an emphasis on the Manga brand and TV DVD. She was promoted in 2007 to VP and has since added the fitness and children’s categories to her responsibilities.

Seraphim has worked in the entertainment industry for more than three decades. She joined Anchor Bay in 1998 as the director of national accounts. Earlier in her career, Seraphim spent a decade at Turner Home Entertainment, joining at its launch. She also worked at Baker & Taylor.

Zinar joined Anchor Bay in 2006 as VP of sales, responsible for launching and promoting the rental and wholesale distribution aspects of the business. Zinar is also a part of the acquisitions team. He began his career more than 21 years ago at Schwartz Brothers in Lanham, Md., where he was editor of the weekly video publication. In the early 1990s, Zinar held various sales positions, primarily in the rental and distribution channels, for Vidmark Entertainment, Vestron, Polygram Video, LIVE, Lyrick/HIT, MGM and Ventura.
