'Up in the Air' Comes to DVD, Blu-ray March 9

Paramount Home Entertainment will release the critically acclaimed movie Up in the Air, starring George Clooney, on DVD and Blu-ray Disc March 9 — two days after the Oscar telecast.

Co-written and directed by Oscar nominee Jason Reitman, Air earned six Academy Award nominations, including best picture, best actor (Clooney), best supporting actress (Vera Farmiga and Anna Kendrick), best director and best adapted screenplay.  

The film already won a Golden Globe for best screenplay.

The Air DVD ($19.99) and Blu-ray ($29.99) include commentary by Reitman, director of photography Eric Steelberg and first assistant director Jason Blumenfeld, deleted scenes with optional commentary and the featurette “Shadowplay: Before The Story”. 

The Blu-ray also includes additional deleted scenes, storyboards, an American Airlines prank and the “Help Yourself” music video by Sad Brad.
