Nintendo Hires Disney SVP

Nintendo of America has hired Duncan Orrell-Jones as its new SVP of network business, a new position charged with spearheading the digital strategy of the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U gaming systems.

Orrell-Jones comes from The Walt Disney Co., where he has worked since 1993. Most recently he served as SVP in the Disney Interactive Media Group.

“Duncan Orrell-Jones brings knowledge and hands-on experience to Nintendo that will help us develop and implement long-term digital initiatives for our systems,” said Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo of America president and COO. "By creating this new position we’re demonstrating our commitment to the expansion of our online business, and Duncan is the perfect person for the job.”
