Nintendo Oct. 17 said owners of the 3DS, 3DS XL and 2DS gaming systems can now stream current-season TV shows, movies, clips and premium commercial-free kids programming on their hand-held systems with the new Hulu Plus app.
The app, which requires a separate Hulu Plus subscription, can be downloaded at the Nintendo eShop. The application allows users to navigate the handheld gaming devices using the touch screen and view television shows and movies on the go provided there is a broadband connection.
Hulu Plus is already available on the Nintendo Wii system.
Heretofore, Hulu Plus could only be accessed on the PC or TV via connected Xbox and PlayStation consoles, Blu-ray Disc players, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, IPTVs, Roku (and other) streaming media players, TiVo, Apple and Android phones, and tablets.
