Game developer Activision is making a Nintendo Wii game based on a series of Anchor Bay Entertainment fitness DVDs.
10 Minute Solution includes a series of 10-minute workouts, in the areas of aerobics, mixed games and cardio boxing, that can be done one by one or stacked on top of each other to make for a longer workout. The game will have a list price of $19.99, can be played with or without the Wii Balance Board and will be available this spring.
“10 Minute Solution DVDs give users a unique fitness experience: customizable routines that fit into any lifestyle,” said David Oxford with Activision Publishing. “We’ve taken this concept and combined it with the interactivity of the Wii, creating a new kind of workout that gets results.”
Launched in 2002, 10 Minute Solution is Anchor Bay’s longest running series of workout DVDs. More than 20 have been released.
“Our legions of 10 Minute Solution DVD users will tell you these simple 10 minute exercises work,” said Julie Cartwright, SVP of marketing for Anchor Bay.
