YouTube Starts Screening Room for Indie Filmmakers18 Jun, 2008 By: Billy Gil
YouTube has started a virtual screening room for independent filmmakers at youtube.com/ytscreeningroom.
The channel will highlight four films a week, picked by a YouTube editorial panel. Submissions are welcomed; the panel also will gather films from festivals and work with partners such as Sundance Channel.
The first eight titles to be highlighted include Love and War, a stop-motion film with puppets; Oscar-nominated short “I Met the Walrus,” regarding an interview with John Lennon; and Are You the Favorite Person of Anybody? from Me You and Everyone We Know writer/director Miranda July.
