WWE To Open Korean Web Site13 Dec, 2002 By: Hive News
WWE will make WWE merchandise available for the first time in Korea in response to ticket sales for the upcoming live Asian tour, the company reported.
WWE has selected Korea's East Asia Company (EAC) to develop and operate wwekoreashop.com, which will offer official WWE merchandise for sale to Korean fans. The site will come online in January. EAC will also sell official WWE merchandise at the live event scheduled for the Jamsil Indoor Stadium on Jan. 23, 2003, which reportedly sold out all available tickets in five days.
"We want the online shop to become a focal point for WWE's Korean fans, a place where they will be able to obtain the latest WWE merchandise,” Roger Marment, WWE's EVP International Business Development, said.
Korea's WWE fans will find a home on wwekoreashop.com,” said J. Robert Kim, CEO of EAC. "To thank our fans for their support, 1,000 tickets for the WWE Far East Tour will be made available as part of the site's launch promotion."
