Microsoft: More Than 1M Xbox One Units Sold in Less Than 24 Hours

Microsoft Nov. 22 said it sold more than 1 million Xbox One consoles in less than 24 hours — outperforming the launches of both Xbox (2001) and Xbox 360 (2005). The $500 Xbox One was rolled out in 13 countries.

LoveFilm App Available on Xbox One

LoveFilm Nov. 22 said its LoveFilm Instant app is now available for Microsoft’s new $500 video game console, the Xbox One, which launched the same day in 13 countries, including the U.K. Accessing Amazon’s London-based subscription video-on-demand service requires a separate streaming membership, in addition to either a Xbox Live or Live Gold membership.

Projections: 'Millers' Could Sneak in at No. 1

The biggest new movie hitting disc Nov. 19 was Warner’s comedy 'We’re the Millers,' a theatrical overacheiver that recorded a domestic box office haul of $150 million. That kind of popularity should be enough to push its disc sales to a No. 1 debut.
