25 Feb, 2002 By: Brendan Howard

Wolfe Video, a gay and lesbian home video retailer, has promoted its VP, Maria Lynn, to president. Lynn will report to company founder and CEO Kathy Wolfe and will oversee all of the company's operations, including financing, marketing and fulfillment.

During Lynn's nine-year tenure at Wolfe, the company has seen annual revenues grow from $60,000 to $4 million, and in her new role, she'll prepare the company for growth and increase Wolfe's retail presence. Lynn has played a key role in setting up marketing relationships with video industry leaders, increasing sales and the overall visibility of gay and lesbian feature films nationwide, according to a company spokesperson, according to the company. She's also helped Wolfe Video acquire 58 exclusive titles, including Big Eden and The Lily Tomlin Collection.

"So much of Wolfe Video's growth is due in part to Maria's leadership these past nine years, so it is with complete confidence and optimism that I hand over the role of President to such a seasoned professional," said CEO Kathy Wolfe.

Before working at Wolfe Video, Lynn served as operations manager for a software development group at Digital Equipment Corporation from 1987 to 1992.
