Warner Home Video has promoted Ronald J. Sanders to EVP and GM, United States, the supplier announced today.
In his new position Sanders will assume full P&L responsibility for all activities in the United States, including sales, marketing, finance, administration and operations.
"This promotion recognizes Ron's expertise and dedication," said Jim Cardwell, who himself was recently upped to replace Warrren Lieberfarb as president of WHV. "I am highly confident in his ability not only to manage our current business but also to face the challenges of continuing our excellent levels of growth."
Sanders served most recently as SVP and co-managing director for Europe, Middle East and Africa. During his three-year tenure with WHV Europe, he held all P&L responsibilities and directed activities with affiliates and licensees in 46 territories, WHV's largest region outside of North America.
Sanders joined WHV in 1991 and held various managerial positions including Vice-President, Rental Sales and VP, sellthrough sales before being promoted in 1999 to managing director, United Kingdom and Ireland, which based him in London.
Running the largest WHV international territory, he generated revenue growth of more than 20 percent in his first year and implemented the launch of DVD.
Sanders previously held positions with Procter & Gamble and holds a BS in Business Administration from Auburn University in Alabama. He is also an alumnus of Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Program.
