10 Apr, 2003 By: Kurt Indvik

Warner Home Video is letting fly June 10 with space rockets and arrows, with its special edition DVD sets of four of its premier catalog titles, The Right Stuff, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Giant and Once Upon a Time in America. The titles are $26.99 each. Prebook is May 13.

The Right Stuff, winner of four Academy Awards (and nominated for best picture), has been digitally remastered -- as have all four special edition titles -- and will include three 20th anniversary documentaries featuring the film's stars and the real-life heroes that inspired the film. The special edition also includes a PBS feature-length documentary on John Glenn; commentaries from director, cast and crew; 15 minutes of never-before-seen footage from the movie; and other information features.

Also released will be a two-disc special edition Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves -- Extended Version, featuring 12 never-before-seen minutes from the $165 million box office winner starring Kevin Costner. The two discs contain a making-of documentary, commentaries from the director and stars, production notes and other features.

Meanwhile the epic Giant, starring Elizabeth Taylor, Rock Hudson and James Dean, will include more than three hours of documentaries.

The Robert De Niro starrer Once Upon a Time will include the longer (four hours) international version.
