Wherehouse To Launch Shopping Show

Wherehouse Music will market music, movie, game and consumer electronics products through its own television series on Brands Shopping channel, the companies announced today.

"We are very excited about the opportunity that Brands Shopping Network brings to Wherehouse Music," said Brad Tait, VP-business development. "We believe that through our own television series on the Brands Shopping Channel we will benefit from incremental sales opportunities and increased exposure to our base brick-and-mortar business. Brands Shopping Network will enable us to provide quality products to a much larger audience than ever before."

Brands Shopping Network, Inc. is a new media company focused on bringing retailers and name brand products to consumers on television through a dedicated, 24-hour-a-day channel as well as interactive and on demand services.

Brands Shopping Channel will provide consumers the opportunity to shop for a variety of name brand products from popular retailers through transaction-based lifestyle programming. Brands Shopping Network will provide retailers with a turnkey solution of production services and national cable, broadcast and satellite media distribution.

"The partnership between Brands Shopping Network and Wherehouse Music will enable them to inform the consumer that they are a full entertainment retailer," says Melissa Gehl, EVP of retail.
