Warner's 'Swordfish' Flashes Password to VHS/DVD Oct. 306 Aug, 2001 By: Hive News
Warner Home Video (WHV) delivers the cyber-adventure Swordfish, starringJohn Travolta, Halle Berry, Hugh Jackman and Don Cheadle, to retail on Oct. 30.
Swordfish grossed $70 million at the box office this year.
The Swordfish DVD isavailable for $24.98 SRP. It's also available for purchase on VHS for $22.98 SRP.
Highlighting the special features on the DVD version of Swordfish is a behind-the-scenes look at the spectacular "flying bus" stunt. Other special features include: commentary by director Dominic Sena; "The Making of Swordfish" documentary; "The Effects in Focus" documentary; three alternate endings; the original theatrical trailer; Dolby Digital 5.1 Audio; 16x9 widescreen format; English and French (dubbed in Quebec) languages; and English, French and Spanish subtitles.
Swordfish DVD-ROM viewers will be able to link to an exclusive Web page allowing them to become a "superhacker" by unlocking hidden scenes on the DVD. By guessing the correct key codes based on clues given in the movie, hidden clips will be unlocked and played directly from the DVD on the user's computer. These clips will include never-before-seen footage from the set, interviews with the cast, as well as a "Club Reel" music video featuring clips from the film cut to a score by Paul Oakenfold.
The Swordfish VHS also includes alternate endings not seen in theaters.
Swordfish is an action-suspense thriller about the world's best computer hacker (Jackman) becoming entangled in a cyber-heistmasterminded by charismatic mystery man (Travolta).
