Warner On Demand Puts Extras on VOD, PPV

Warner Home Video's On Demand unit in December will release Batman Begins and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with up to 15 minutes of additional features not found on the DVD.

The launch of “Movies That Pop” comes following a separate study that claimed video-on-demand and pay-per-view usage would increase if content included bonus material.

On Demand programming is available for $3.99 per title to nearly 40 million households that have cable, DirecTV or Dish satellite service on VOD or PPV.

Bonus material is included at the end of the film. Warner will release up to 10 titles in 2006 with Movies That Pop, including The Dukes of Hazzard in January.
