Warner Music Group and Motorola Team for Exclusive Mobile Content

8 Jan, 2007 By: Jessica Wolf

Warner Music Group has teamed up with cell phone manufacturer Motorola to hand consumers exclusive music and video for their mobile devices.

The two companies will collaborate on creating digital products, marketing campaigns and strategic planning across multiple devices and a bevy of artists.

That will include preloaded and downloadable full-length songs, ring tones, ringback tones, mobile music videos, wallpapers and more.

It's the first time a major music company and a handset manufacturer have teamed up for such a deal, according to the companies.

“Exclusive access to content from Warner's world-renowned roster of artists enables our mobile phone consumers to further enrich and personalize their mobile multimedia experiences,” said Scott Durchslag, VP of product and Xperience Invention for Motorola Mobile Devices. “This venture has potential to serve as a successful template for building relationships with other music and entertainment entities around the world.”
