Warner Makes Smart Move With Baby Genius

Warner Home Video last week signed an exclusive long-term production and distribution deal with Genius Products Inc. for the Baby Genius and Kid Genius branded video lines.

Warner picks up the distribution of three current Baby Genius titles and will also produce and distribute at least two new Baby Genius home videos each year starting in 2002. The studio also plans to launch in 2003, Kid Genius, a series aimed at older children.

Warner bows another educational series March 26, the Warner Bright Kids Collection, which includes two all new Child Smart videos; new Caillou episodes; and the DVD debut of Real Wheels: There Goes a Fire Truck and Sesame Street's Follow That Bird. Prebooking is Feb. 26 and Warner has a national Bright Kids advertising campaign with coverage in parents' magazines and online.
