Jeff Baker has been promoted to SVP, U.S. sales, for Warner Home Video, the company announced today.

Baker moves up from VP, nontheatrical franchise marketing, and will now be responsible for domestic sales and retail initiatives for WHV, according to Ron Sanders EVP/GM of WHV, U.S.

“Jeff has extensive experience in the home video industry, which includes executive roles in sales at RCA and Goodtimes Entertainment, and I am confident that his sales leadership will contribute significantly to WHV's continued growth,” Sanders said.

Prior to joining WHV this past June, Baker was SVP of home video for Warner Strategic Marketing overseeing acquisitions, co-productions and DVD sales and marketing for the division's Rhino Home Video group, part of the Warner Music Group.

Baker has more than 30 years of experience in home entertainment, including SVP of sales at Goodtimes, where he also was responsible for licensing more than 400 theatrical films for home video, and at RCA, where he helped to develop sales for the label's VideoDisk format and implemented the company's sellthrough video program. Baker also worked at IBM where he was instrumental in launching the company's Prodigy Internet service.
