VSDA Show to Have Exhibit Hall10 Feb, 2004 By: Kurt Indvik
An exhibit floor has been added to Home Entertainment 2004, July 14 to 16, at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, it was announced today.
The Video Software Dealers Association's annual convention in 2003 had featured just exhibitor suites, all of which were sold out. The suite format had been successfully introduced at the 2002 show at the Rio, which also had a trade show floor.
“The exhibitor suite format is ideal for deal-making and networking, The seminar program attracts some of the sharpest minds in the business,” said Bo Andersen, VSDA's president. “The reintroduction of an exhibit hall has been met with enthusiasm from new companies and nonprogramming suppliers who want to make their mark and enhance their presence.”
The theme of this year's show is “Evolution and Transformation,” reflecting the industry's evolution into a broad spectrum of home entertainment products.
“Our goal is to take a step forward this year with a focus on technology, convergence and all aspects of home entertainment packaged goods to retailers,” said Don Rosenberg, group video director for Advanstar Communications, which is a partner with the VSDA in Home Entertainment Events, producer of the event. Advanstar Communications also publishes Video Store Magazine.
