Starz Entertainment LLC announced June 26 that select models of Toshiba notebook computers will carry software for Vongo, Starz's Internet movie and download service, beginning July 1.
The agreement between Starz and Toshiba Digital Products, a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., allows owners of Satellite or Qosmio notebooks to access a free 30-day trial to Vongo. Toshiba will place a desktop Vongo icon on every new Satellite or Qosmio notebook sold.
“By extending our prior portable device relationship with Toshiba to now also cover the company's popular notebook computer lines, we are able to offer even more mobile consumers immediate access to premium movies and video on the go,” said Joe Cantwell, VP of advanced services for Starz Entertainment. “We are pleased to continue our work with Toshiba and offer their customers even more ways to enjoy the Vongo experience.”

Starz has subscription TV and broadband delivery agreements with Walt Disney Pictures, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Miramax Films, Touchstone Pictures and several others to provide first-run movies, documentaries and music concerts.
Vongo offers more than 1,000 movies among its 2,500 video selections. Subscribers also have access to live, streaming Starz TV.
