3 Dec, 2002 By: Hive News

Virgin Megastores is teaming up with Blue Man Group to launch a custom DVD booth that will showcase 5.1 surround sound mix fidelity at Virgin Megastore in the Forum Shops at Caesar's, Las Vegas.

Thursday the chain plans to unveil a high-tech booth 8 feet tall and 7 feet wide and lets listeners experience DVD 5.1 surround sound technology from the "sweet spot" of the listening area, positioned in the middle of the booth where the listener can experience the sound and feel of every element of the recording.

Plans are for the booth to remain in Las Vegas store for six months.

The overall look of the PVC tube booth parallels Blue Man's world of tubes, black lights and modern art to promote the Blue Man Group's debut album, “Audio.”

The combination of the booth design and the sound system provided by Bose creates an intimate surround sound experience. Upon stepping into the booth, consumers will get a rare glimpse into the world of Blue Man Group.
