27 Apr, 2004 By: Jessica Wolf

So far this year, the Video Industry AIDS Action Committee (VIAAC) has donated more than a quarter of a million dollars to Aids agencies nationwide.

The group announced that it has distributed $275,000 to 54 AIDS and HIV programs nationwide. All beneficiaries are non-profit organizations and this year include the Whitman-Walker Clinic, Broadway Cares, San Francisco AIDS Foundation, AID Atlanta, AIDS Delaware, RAIN Oklahoma and Chattanooga Cares.

Regular beneficiaries include the AIDS Action Council & Foundation, the International Association of Physicians in AIDS Care, the UCLA AIDS Institute, AIDS Project Los Angeles, the Actor's Funds AIDS Initiative and the Southwest Boulevard Family Health Center in Kansas City, Kan.

“We are happy to extend our outreach as we continue to grow our fundraising programs and efforts,” said Maral Kaloustian, president of VIAAC. “Each beneficiary we support makes a great impact to people living with AIDS, whether it is through research, healthcare or service.”
