VHQ Announces Executive Shuffle

Canadian chain VHQ Entertainment has announced new appointments to its board of directors, including promotions in its management team.

Trevor M. Hillman was reappointed as c.e.o. and was also appointed as chairman of the board, a position from which Roderick Stephen recently retired. Gregg Johnson, previously VHQ's e.v.p., was appointed as president and c.o.o., replacing Hillman as president. The title changes "more accurately reflect Hillman and Johnson's roles within the company, a publicist says.

New appointments include Derrek R. Wong, CFA, to s.v.p., Finance and c.f.o. and Lorn Becker of Edmonton, Alberta as a director.

Wong will beresponsible for corporate finance, financial reporting and investor relations and "will assist in the overall strategic management of the company."

``Derrek's successful track record, extensive experience in growing and financing companies and

credibility within the investment community significantly enhances VHQ's management team,'' said Hillman.

Before joining VHQ, Wong was a Toronto based consultant to Atlas Cold Storage Income Trust, where he was responsible for corporate finance, investor relations, mergers and acquisitions and business strategy he has also held a number of positions with the Royal Bank of Canada and Bank of America, where he most recently was the v.p., corporate finance.

Becker, the president of Northern Cablevision, was elected to the board at VHQ's recent shareholder meeting and is subject to approval of the Toronto Stock Exchange.
