Universal Studios Consumer Products Group, a unit of NBC Universal, May 3 upped company veteran Jeremy Laws to SVP of Universal Mobile Entertainment, the newly created division focused on mobile content.
Laws, who reports to Beth Goss, EVP of Universal Studios Consumer Products Group in Los Angeles, will oversee worldwide licensing and promotions in wireless entertainment.
Universal Studios currently licenses content globally via more than 60 agreements, including deals with I-Play, Gameloft, Buongiorno-Vitaminic, Ojom, Indiagames, Player X, Forma and Starwave Mobile.
“With the explosion of the mobile data market, it demands the time of a concentrated team that can develop and manage our properties in this space,” said Goss.
