Union Station Media and urban entertainment site Shakefire.com have teamed up for an online sweepstakes promotion surrounding the Sept. 26 DVD release of Beowulf & Grendel.
The part fantasy, party horror adventure epic was shot entirely in Iceland, and the grand price is a trip for two to Reykjavick. The package includes airfare and a three-night stay at the Hotel Loftleider. Also included is a full-day tour of the South Shore to visit locations where Beowulf & Grendel, James Bond's Die Another Day, Batman Begins and Flag of our Fathers were shot.
Shakefire boasts more than 3.5 million unique visitors each month and will promote the sweepstakes with banner ads on its home page.
Other prizes include one first prize of an arctic wear jacket, from Icelandic apparel company 66 North, three second prizes of skin care gift certificates from www.bluelagoon.com. Ten third-prize winners will get a case of Icelandic Spring water, and 20 fourth-prize winners will get a DVD of the film signed by star Gerard Butler.
