Aereo TV Suspends Operations

As expected, Aereo TV has paused service of its subscription TV streaming operations, effective June 28. The New York-based service that allowed subscribers to stream live and recorded local TV programming said it would refund subs their last paid month.

DECE: Australia Has Second-Highest Consumer Adoption Rate of UltraViolet

blinkbox: ‘Thrones’ Season 4 Sales Up 60%

blinkbox, the U.K. digital sellthrough platform owned by British supermarket chain Tesco, said early digital access to the fourth season of HBO’s “Game of Thrones” resulted in a 60% increase in sales compared with first-week sales of the previous season.
