Trans World Retains Key Wherehouse Execs

12 Dec, 2003 By: Erik Gruenwedel

Three senior Wherehouse Entertainment officials have been retained by Trans World Entertainment, which acquired the bankrupt Torrance, Calif.-based music and video retailer in October for $35.6 million in cash and $5 million in assumed debt.

Kevin Milligan, formerly in charge of music and video purchasing, has been named VP of West Coast operations at Trans World, which will reportedly continue to operate 113 of the 148 Wherehouse acquired retail locations; shuttering the remaining stores.

Joining Milligan, who reports to EVP Fred Fox in New York, are music executives Violet Brown and Isabelle Salazar.
