Trans World Executive Departs2 May, 2006 By: Erik Gruenwedel
Trans World Entertainment May 2 announced that Fred Fox, EVP of merchandising and marketing, will leaving the company at the end of the week.
Fox's position was eliminated during ongoing restructuring in the marketing department, according to EVP and CFO John Sullivan. He said the company was searching for a SVP of merchandising, who would report directly to James Litwak, president and COO.
“Fred led a talented and experienced team during his tenure," said Litwak. “We look forward to further enhancing and expanding our merchandising and marketing initiatives as we move ahead with the integration of the Musicland acquisition and build our brand as the total entertainment destination.”
Fox joined Trans World in March 2002 as EVP of merchandising and marketing, with more than 24 years of retail experience. Prior to joining Trans World, Fox held executive-level positions with OfficeMax, Montgomery Ward, Circuit City, Target Stores and Fischer Scientific Company.
