TNR Kicks Off Free Rental Promotion At Kiosks

DVD rental kiosk leader TNR Entertainment Group is launching a sweepstakes offering free movie rentals for a year.

Starting March 16 and following through for 45 days, TNR will hold a drawing and give one randomly chosen shopper the equivalent of free movie rentals for a year at the 1,500 The New Release-branded, $1-per-night rental machines across the country.

There's no purchase necessary to enter the drawing, which is open to new and existing New Release renters. Winners get a New Release-branded Visa Check Card preloaded with $365 and can use it to rent up to three DVDs per day.

Entries will be accepted online at www.thenewrelease.com or via mail-in entry cards on flyers distributed at the kiosks.

“We wanted a fun, innovative and enticing way to introduce the concept of renting DVDs at our kiosks to more customers in the grocery channel. At the same, we wanted to offer substantial potential rewards to our existing customers, particularly those with multiple daily rentals,” said Tony Sciolla, Chief Marketing Officer for TNR, parent company of The New Release. “This special promotion is a win for our retail partners as well, who benefit from what we expect will be greater traffic during the promotion. We know the winners will definitely be making additional trips for their daily DVDs.”

Shoppers can pickup an entry form at any The New Release kiosk in such grocery chains as Dillon's, Food 4 Less, Food Lion, Fry's, H-E-B, Kroger, King Soopers, Publix, Quality Food Centers, Ralph's, Roundy's/Pick ‘N Save, and Spartan/Family Fare across the country.
