Amazon Prime Gets Exclusive A24 Movies

Amazon Nov. 21 said it inked content licensing agreement with new film studio A24, known for commercial hits such as Spring Breakers and The Bling Ring. The multiyear agreement makes Prime Instant Video the exclusive subscription video-on-demand service for all of the current and forthcoming A24 titles following their release on DVD and Blu-ray Disc.

Trans World Entertainment Widens Q3 Loss

Trans World Entertainment Nov. 21 posted a third-quarter (ended Nov. 2) net loss of $3.3 million, up 50% from a net loss of $2.2 million during the previous-year period. For the fiscal year, the operating loss is $4.4 million compared with a net loss of $1.3 million last year.
