Three iDEA Board Seats Up for Election

The Independent Dealers of Entertainment Association (iDEA), the indie-centric arm of the Video Software Dealers Association (VSDA), announced April 19 it has qualified four candidates for the 2006 election to the group's board of trustees.

The candidates are, alphabetically:

  • Alan Millican: Marquee Movies, Chattanooga, TN
  • Thomas Paine: DVDNOW!, Redmond, WA
  • Joan Riebli: Movie Merchants, Sonoma, CA
  • Kathy Slocum: Video Place, Gilbert, IA

  • There are three seats on the board open this year. The top three vote-getters will earn a three-year term on the iDEA board.

    Printed ballots, biographical information and statements from each nominee will be mailed to all dues-paid iDEA voters May 12.

    Members who wish to vote with a traditional paper ballot may do so, or they can cast their ballots over the Internet using a secure Web page.

    To be valid, completed ballots, paper or electronic, must be received by 11:59 p.m. EDT June 15.
