On the strength of such games as Finding Nemo, WWE Smackdown!: Here Comes the Pain and SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom, THQ saw its fiscal-year 2004 third-quarter revenue climb 35 percent, to $293.1 million, from $217.8 million in the year-ago period. Net income for the quarter advanced to $30.4 million, which included an increase in allowance for doubtful accounts related to KB Toys' recent Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
Upcoming titles for THQ include “Scooby-Doo!” games to coincide with Warner Bros.' theatrical film Scooby-Doo! Two: Monsters Unleashed as well as sequels for the franchises “WWE Smackdown!” and “SpongeBob SquarePants” and a game based on the next Disney/Pixar film, The Incredibles.
