Third HD DVD Supplier to Hit Market

9 Aug, 2007 By: Erik Gruenwedel

Japanese consumer electronics manufacturer Onkyo this fall will bow the DV-HD805, the third HD DVD supplier with a player on the market after Toshiba and RCA.

The $899 unit features HDMI version 1.3a, which claims to improve color tones and achieve finer color gradation, and supports 1080p resolution. Similar to Toshiba's players, the HD805 includes an Ethernet port for access to the Internet.
