Survey Finds Viewers Interested in Multimedia7 Jan, 2009 By: Chris Tribbey
Just in time for the Consumer Electronics Show comes the Consumer Entertainment Survey from research firm Yankee Group.
The survey finds that 17.9% of handheld game system owners are watching videos too, for an average of more than a half-hour a day. Conversely, 17.7% of mobile-phone owners are playing games on them.
Two other nuggets of note from the report: 56% of TV viewers say they are online or sending e-mail, and broadcast TV viewers spend 11% more time online than their cable- or satellite-viewing counterparts.
