The Sundance Channel has announced plans to release four independent films to DVD by June.
In This World, a film about two Afghan boys on a treacherous journey through Iran, Turkey and Europe seeking refuge in London, and The Other Side of the Bed, a Spanish film about two couples searching for love a la “Coupling” and escalating a web of lies instead, both street March 2 (prebook Feb. 3) priced at $26.99 on DVD.
To follow are Dopamine, in which two computer geeks design an artificial life form and then must put it and their ideas to the test in public school, is due April 13 (prebook March 16), also priced at $26.99. Die Mommie Die!, out June 29 (prebook June 1), lets viewers probe whether or not a washed-up pop diva murdered her hubby with a poisoned suppository. The comic mystery is priced at $24.99. All four titles will be rental-priced on VHS.
