StudioWorks to Distribute Baby, Toddler Music Series

20 Sep, 2003 By: Brendan Howard

Booty-shakin' babies rejoice!

MoPo Home Entertainment has struck a deal with StudioWorks Entertainment to distribute its “Jukebox Adventure Series,” a line of videos that exposes tiny tots to music from a variety of genres.

“What sets ‘Jukebox Adventures' apart from other video series is the variety of music,” said StudioWorks president Jeff Jacobson. “Parents can sing along with their children, which is something you can't do with the traditional classical music videos/DVDs.”

StudioWorks Entertainment is the entertainment label of Ventura Distribution.

The series started with Country Baby! and Star Spangled Baby! earlier this year. The titles' prices will be lowered Dec. 2 (prebook Oct. 20) to $12.99 on DVD and $9.99 on VHS.

MoPo Home Entertainment is a New York-based production company specializing in children's “edutainment” products.

Veteran talk show host Maury Povich is active chairman of parent company MoPo Productions.

“We have been inundated with offers from major distributors,” Povich said. “StudioWorks Entertainment and Ventura bring the most complete package to the table.”
