Stephen King Series Streets Oct. 12

3 Aug, 2004 By: Brendan Howard

As if hospitals aren't gory enough, Stephen King brought supernatural horror to the operating room in his ABC miniseries “Kingdom Hospital.” Now Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment is bringing Stephen King Presents Kingdom Hospital to DVD Oct. 12 (prebook Sept. 9).

The series was based on the Danish miniseries “Rigit” from director Lars von Trier before he hit the big screen with such films as Dogville and Dancer in the Dark.

The $49.95 four-disc set will include all 13 episodes — 15 hours in total — as well as commentary with King, the director, the executive producer and the effects supervisor. Making-of and background featurettes will round out the set.
