Starz Media has expanded its offerings to two new digital platforms, Amazon Unbox and the Xbox Live Marketplace for the Xbox 360.

On Amazon Unbox, Starz will offer anime from the Manga Entertainment line, including Ghost in the Shell, Ninja Scroll and Blood: The Last Vampire; Anchor Bay Entertainment classics such as The Evil Dead and the original The Hills Have Eyes; and newer offerings such as the “Masters of Horror” series. The animated Condor and Mosaic and the TV series “Street Fighter” and “Tripping the Rift” also will be available.

For the Xbox crowd, Starz has Manga titles such as the “Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex” series, “Tokko” and “Astro Boy,” with more coming.

“These titles from Starz Media are an ideal addition to the full range of entertainment content we offer on Xbox Live,” said Ross Honey, senior director of Microsoft's media and entertainment group.

Marc DeBevoise, Starz Media SVP of business development and strategy, said: “These deals represent our company's commitment to expansion in the growing digital media world. We're embracing the opportunities Amazon and our other partners present to reach a broader audience in new ways.”
