Stars from some of TV's most popular shows stretching as far back as 40 years will grace the stage during the upcoming TV DVD 3 conference, Nov. 7-8, at the Marina del Rey Marriott, Marina del Rey, Calif.
Linda Gray (“Dallas”), Jerry Mathers (“Leave It to Beaver”), Donny Osmond (“The Donny and Marie Hour”) and Christopher Knight (“The Brady Bunch”) will be present to share their experiences in television and the impact of DVD on the rejuvenation of their shows. All four stars will be on a panel titled “The Stars Speak: Classic TV Heroes” Nov. 8, moderated by Thomas K. Arnold, editorial director and associate publisher of Home Media Retailing.
Meanwhile, Mathers will receive the Classic TV DVD Pop Culture Icon Award during the Second Annual TV DVD Awards, co-hosted by Donny Osmond and Don Rosenberg, publisher of Home Media Retailing.
Kevin Cassidy, EVP of Tower Records and Video, will be the featured keynote speaker during the event's luncheon Nov. 8, giving attendees a retailer's perspective of the TV DVD phenomenon and the opportunities ahead.
Also speaking at the conference will be Lloyd Segan, executive producer of “The Dead Zone”; Gary Scott Thompson, creator and executive producer of “Las Vegas”; and Jeff Tremaine, executive producer of “Jackass” and “Wildboyz.” They will appear on a panel titled “Crossing Channels,” which looks at how TV DVD affects the work of TV producers working in Hollywood.
TV DVD 3, the third annual TV DVD conference, also will have a number of sessions featuring studio and retail executives discussing the challenges and opportunities of the fastest-growing segment of the home video market, and a variety of networking events. The conference is produced by Home Media Retailing, in cooperation with DEG: The Digital Entertainment Group and The Hollywood Reporter.
