Starmedia Launches NewPortal, ‘Toque Latino'

Spanish-language portal Starmedia has launched Toque Latino, a new weekly webcast show. Developed along with Media 8 of Miami, Toque Latino is dedicated to promoting products and services offered by one of the agency's multinational consumer products accounts.

The portal was created after the success of Starmedia's weekly webcast show EntertaiNews, according to Starmedia COO Juan Jose Nunez. Along with advertisements, Toque Latino also will offer users access to the information that advertisers can provide.

Toque Latino features five-minute webisodios, which show the preparation of favorite Latin recipes along with easy access to the recipes for print or e-mail. With a total of 10 webisodios already produced, new episodes are scheduled to debut each week during the duration of the campaign.
