'Star Wars: Episode III -- Revenge of the Sith,' DVD Will Blast Into Stores In Time for Christmas, Lucas Says9 May, 2005 By: Jessica Wolf
Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith, which hits theaters May 19, will be out on DVD for Christmas, creator George Lucas told MTV.Com. And it will contain deleted scenes, the film's producer Rick McCallum told the site.
There were five or six scenes that didn't make it into the movie, McCallum told MTV.Com. “They were great scenes, but they just had nothing to do with getting straight and cutting to the chase of the story. They were more plot-oriented and more setting up of Coruscant, more setting up of the war and kind of understanding where all the politics were,” the site quoted McCallum.
Lucas also told MTV.com that it's likely a six-disc boxed set with all the films will arrive later.
