Spider-Man: Homecoming 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' Swings to Top of Charts

Sony Pictures’ 'Spider-Man: Homecoming,' the second reboot of the Marvel Comics franchise, easily snagged the top spot on the national home video sales charts the week ended Oct. 21, while the Universal Pictures comedy 'Girls Trip,' about four female buddies road-tripping to New Orleans, debuted at No. 2.

Amazon CFO: Prime Video Having 'Great' Results

Warner Ups Q3 Home Entertainment Revenue 15%

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Oct. 26 reported third-quarter (ended Sept. 30) revenue of $424 million from sales of theatrical product, up 15% from revenue of $368 million during the previous-year period. Revenue included DVD, Blu-ray Disc and electronic sellthrough.

Comcast Loses 125,000 Video Customers in Q3

The bloodletting among pay-TV operators continues. Comcast Oct. 26 reported a loss of 125,000 video subscribers in the third quarter, ended Sept. 30. Underscoring increasing demand for broadband (i.e. streaming video), Comcast added 214,000 Internet subscribers.
