Source Interlink Companies Inc., magazine publisher and distributor of packaged media, including Alliance Entertainment LLC and NCircle Entertainment children's DVDs, July 28 said it had been given a “supplier award of excellence” for the first quarter of 2008 by Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

Although honored for distribution of magazines and periodicals to more than 700 Wal-Mart stores, Bonita Springs, Fla.-based Source Interlink said the award affected multiple divisions.

“Wal-Mart's recognition of our dedication to supplying our retail partners with quality products and superior services is a great honor,” said Jim Gillis, co-CEO of Source Interlink.
