Sooter Upped At Paramount6 Jul, 2007 By: Thomas K. Arnold
Paramount Home Entertainment executive Kelly Sooter has been promoted to EVP and GM of worldwide marketing, reporting to domestic home entertainment president Meagan Burrows and international home entertainment president Dennis Maguire.
She will oversee domestic and international brand marketing, creative services and DVD content development, working in tandem with Mary Kincaid, EVP of worldwide marketing services, to drive global marketing and strategic initiatives, leverage emerging technologies and boost synergies across the worldwide division.
Sooter previously was EVP and GM of Paramount Home Entertainment's domestic family business. She will continue in her role as GM of the DreamWorks Animation domestic business, reporting directly to Kelley Avery, president of worldwide home entertainment for Paramount Pictures.
Avery praised Sooter's “business acumen, retail knowledge, marketing expertise and creativity.”
“Her expanded responsibilities will help us to continue to innovate and grow our business in the increasingly competitive global marketplace,” Avery said.
Before DreamWorks Home Entertainment was merged into Paramount, Avery and Sooter headed the division as worldwide head and domestic head, respectively.
