Sony TV and Players Paired at 2008 CES4 Oct, 2007 By: Chris Tribbey
Sony Pictures Television for the first time will partner with its parent company's hardware at the Consumer Electronics Association's 2008 International CES, where new Sony content will be paired with Sony TVs and players.
“At Sony, we understand better than anyone that the marriage of great content with cutting-edge devices is what brings entertainment alive,” said Steve Mosko, president of Sony Pictures Television. “The 2008 International CES is the perfect forum to demonstrate that.”
Greg Shapiro, president and CEO for the CEA, said: “Sony Pictures Television will showcase its breadth of new content in a major way at CES, alongside service providers and technology giants.”
The 2008 CES also has a few new attractions ready to roll out: Content@CES will be a new attraction on the exhibition floor, summarizing the latest developments in the industry; the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus will make a stop at the show, and will feature an interactive display where attendees can produce video and music; and 20 TechZones will be on hand, each tailored specifically to a certain market. Each TechZone will showcase and relay the latest information about certain areas of the industry.
